Why the 10% exists
The 10% pays for the escrow that holds a client's money until work is approved, payment support in taka, dispute handling and the people who review every listing. mehenot is a business, and that fee is how it stays open.
mehenot AI is priced separately, in credits: one credit for a reply and two when it builds something for you. Every new account starts with 200 credits, and more can be earned on the platform or bought.

No. A client pays the agreed price of the job and nothing on top.
The 10% service fee comes out of the freelancer's payment.
- When exactly is the fee taken?
- When the client approves the work and the payment is released. Nothing is charged for listing, bidding or waiting, and there is no monthly subscription.
The fee is how mehenot stays open, and keeping it low is the point: a Bangladeshi freelancer keeps ৳9,000 of a ৳10,000 job here, paid in taka, with no dollar account in the way.
