Delivery Policy

In short

  • Everything on mehenot is digital. Nothing is posted or couriered, so we never need your home address.
  • Wallet money and credits arrive straight away — normally within a minute of the payment going through.
  • Freelance work is delivered inside mehenot, by the deadline written in the contract.
  • You get a notification the moment something is delivered, and it stays in your account so you can open it again later.
  • Nothing came? Tell us. We check, and if it truly never arrived, you get a refund.
  • mehenot serves Bangladesh only, in BDT only.

This is a plain summary. The full sections below are the ones that apply.

Thank you for choosing mehenot. This Delivery Policy explains how everything you pay for on mehenot is delivered. By making a payment on the platform you agree to be bound by it, together with our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. What we deliver

mehenot is an online freelance marketplace. We sell no physical goods — nothing is shipped, inside or outside Dhaka, and no courier is involved. Every purchase is delivered digitally, to your mehenot account:

  • Contract and service-order deposits — money a client deposits to fund a contract, held by mehenot until the work is approved
  • Credit purchases — mehenot credits used to clear dues or unlock features

2. Processing and delivery time

  • Credit purchases are processed automatically and credited instantly once our payment partners — SSLCommerz (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Visa, Mastercard, and other supported methods) and bKash — confirm the payment, normally within one minute of completing the checkout.
  • Contract and service-order deposits are placed in escrow the moment the payment is confirmed. An order exists only once it is paid (an unpaid order is removed after 7 days). A single payment is limited to what our payment gateway allows (currently ৳5,000), so a larger milestone is paid in parts; the freelancer is notified and work begins once the whole milestone is held.
  • The freelancer's deliverable (the actual work) is due on the deadline agreed in the contract or service order, and is submitted through the contract page. The client reviews it there and either approves it or requests changes. Escrowed money is released to the freelancer after the client's approval, or automatically 3 days after delivery if the client neither approves, asks for changes, nor opens a dispute.

3. Delivery method

All delivery is in-platform. There is no shipping address to give us: purchases are credited to the mehenot account that made the payment, and a freelancer's work is delivered through the contract page of that contract. It is your responsibility to pay from the correct account — a deposit cannot be moved to a different account after the fact.

4. Delivery confirmation

  • Every successful payment produces an in-app notification and a transaction reference, and appears in your wallet history with the amount, date, and payment method.
  • Contract deposits also update the contract page for both parties, and the freelancer is notified that the contract is funded. Every step of a job — funded, delivered, approved, released, refunded — is emailed to both parties and kept in the contract's Job record.
  • When a freelancer submits a deliverable, the client is notified in-app (and by push notification on the Android app) and can review it on the contract page.

5. Delays and non-delivery

  • Payment confirmed, nothing credited. In rare cases a payment partner confirms a payment late or a confirmation is delayed. If your wallet, contract, or credit balance has not updated within one hour of a successful payment, contact us with the transaction ID. We verify it with the payment partner within 3 working days and then either complete the delivery or refund the charge — your choice.
  • Freelancer misses the deadline. Escrowed money stays with mehenot; nothing is released without the client's approval. The client can request changes, agree a new deadline, cancel the contract, or open a dispute from the contract page. Refunds of escrowed deposits follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Platform outage. If a service interruption on our side delays delivery, we complete the delivery as soon as service is restored and notify affected users. Delivery timelines above are targets, not guarantees, during such events.

6. Delivery restrictions

Payments on mehenot are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and are intended for users in Bangladesh. A deposit made from a suspended account, or in breach of our Terms, may be held pending review and refunded to the original payment method instead of being delivered.

7. Changes to this policy

We may modify this Delivery Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on this page, and the date at the top always reflects the current version.
